This article will go over the Client Access Portal in Moneytree Advise, which clients will see as the Secure Wealth Review when logging in.
We are updating the look and feel of clients’ portals for Moneytree Advise. Client Access portals will be setup they same as they were in Silver Online. The client’s “Secure Wealth Review” will layout their plan information in a format similar to what advisors see in Moneytree Advise.
Depending on the permissions you provide clients can:
- Review information for one plan
- Make changes to that plan
- Generate reports based on the plan
- Access the What If? to quickly see how changes can affect the plan’s projection
- Upload and download documents to share with you using DocVault
Client Access Defaults
Client Access Defaults for new clients are set in “Personal Settings” and “Company Settings.” They are used to enter the most common settings that apply to most clients. Options for defaults may not appear in Personal Settings depending on your User Role. Information entered in Personal Settings will supersede Company Settings. If you are the sole user of Moneytree Advise in your company, it is recommended to use Personal Settings.
Defaults can be chosen for:
- The permissions that allow or deny clients from using certain features
- The report set clients can generate
- The email clients will receive when invited to setup their portal
- The welcome message seen when client login to their portal
- The alerts you will see when clients access and use their portal
- The logo they will see in the top-left of their portal
Setting up Client Access
To provide access for a client, go to the “Client Access Set Up” section after entering the client. You can set up and personalize their portal. Much of the starting information is retrieved from the “Client Access Defaults” sections in Settings. You can also customize their portal with the following information:
- A personalized email
- A personalized welcome page
- Permissions that allow or deny the client from certain features
- A specific report set for the client
- Alerts received by the client’s actions in their portal
You will also need to provide information that is not available from the Defaults. These include the plan they will see and how long they will have access to their portal. Leave the “Access Ends” field blank for permanent access.
Once the portal details are set up, you can send an invitation to your client by entering their email and clicking the “Send Invitation” button. They will then receive an email with the personalized message and a button they can use to set up their login information.
Tip: Use the “View Client Portal” button in the top right to preview exactly what the client would see.
After setting up their portal, a “Client Access” icon in the client’s Plans list will be filled green. This will indicate the plan that their portal will reflect. Click on the unfilled “Client Access” icon for another plan to quickly change what plan they will see in their portal.
What the Client Sees
Reviewing their Data
The client’s personal portal will lay out their plan information in the same order that you see, with all data sections available. If they are not permitted to make changes, they will see all the information, but the entry fields will be disabled. way as it is for advisors.
In the investments section, for instance, they will see their assets laid out in the same table format that you see. They can then select an item to review the data in detail and potentially make changes.
If permitted, the client can generate a report of your choosing based on the information they see or change in the selected plan.
What-If
Clients may also be able to access the What-If section as well. The What-If will be laid out the same way you see. Clients will be unable to save What-If scenarios.
With this, clients can make changes to their retirement assumptions to see how it affects their plan. Changes will be highlighted in red. When finished making changes, click the “Recalculate” button to see the results on the projection.
Document/File Management
You can also share information with your clients through the DocVault. This allows you and clients to upload personal documents that will be visible to both parties. Read more about DocVault for Moneytree for full details.
