We all like to make life a little easier, so here is a simple tip that can save you time!
When activating your software, use the actual user’s email addresses, rather than just the registered user’s email address.
For example, let’s say Mary, the princple of a RIA firm, has purchased a 3-user license of Silver Financial Planner. Rather than all three installations listing Mary’s email address, we would see each user’s email address.
mary@email.com (license holder & registered user)
john@email.com (registered user)
scott@email.com (registered user)
Seeing just one email address for multiple installations makes it harder to determine which installation belongs to a user.
If Scott’s computer was replaced, and his email was used for the activation, we can quickly see which of three installations would need to be removed to clear up an open spot for Scott to activate on his new computer.
