Upcoming System Maintenance - Friday 9/28 at 5 PM PT and Friday 10/5 at 6 PM PT

On Friday, September 28th system maintenance will begin at 5 PM PT (8 PM ET). There will also be scheduled maintenance Friday, October 5th beginning at 6 PM PT (9 PM ET) . 


TOTAL - Report Calculation Overhaul

The development team here at Money Tree is overhauling the calculation engine used in TOTAL. These changes are affecting some report pages before others so that the development team can make all the necessary changes while still being able to regularly update the program for bug fixes and some new features.


State Income Tax Data Updated for 2018 - Now Available in TOTAL

State tax income tax information for 2018 is available now. If you plan with TOTAL, Money Tree's in-depth financial planning software, it's standard practice to ensure the state tax rates are entered for all of the states your clients reside in and the rates are up-to-date each year.  The Tax Foundation is an excellent state tax resource providing updated rates each year, which is used to populate the state tax rates in TOTAL. A new option will be available in TOTAL's desktop edition to download the state tax data, which means this time-saving feature will be available for both the desktop and online edition. 


10-Year Cash Flow Detail - New Reports in TOTAL

New detailed cash flow reports are now available in TOTAL, allowing advisors to demonstrate year-by-year, line-by-line changes to income and expenses. The reports include a total age span of 10 years, broken into two reports each displaying a five year period.  The start age for the detailed cash flow reports defaults to client 1's retirement age and can be adjusted to start at any age

2017 State Income Taxes

The online edition of TOTAL includes a feature allowing Money Tree to populate the tax information for all states in the program's settings.  For planners using the desktop edition, or anyone who would like to see the state tax updates, the 2017 state tax data entered in TOTAL Online is included in this post.
